New Fall 2014 Shows -- The "H", "I" and "J" Shows

It's the most wonderful time of the year!  NEW FALL TV SHOWS!  I am reviewing each and every one of the new shows and will be posting them in chunks.

Continuing my series of reviews, today it's the H, I and J Shows! (Click here If you missed the A shows,  Click here for the B and C shows and Click here if you missed the E, F and G Shows!)

What do you think?  Do any of these look good?  Leave your comment on the facebook page

Hieroglyph (Fox) -- Fox has decided not to make its ambitious Ancient Egypt drama series after all.

How to Get Away With Murder (ABC) -- The brilliant, charismatic and seductive Professor Annalise Keating gets entangled with four law students from her class “How to Get Away with Murder.” Little do they know that they will have to apply what they learned to real life, in this masterful, sexy, suspense-driven legal thriller.

My thoughts…This is another hit-to-be from Shonda Rhimes (who gives us Grey’s Anatomy and Scandal) It looks sexy and shady and relationship-y…everything we love in a Shonda Rhimes show!  Plus Viola Davis (The Help, United State of Tara, Law and Order: SVU) is amazeballs!

iZombie (The CW) – MIDSEASON – This is about an over-achieving medical resident who becomes a zombie and has to try to blend in to the regular world without anyone finding out.  She takes a job at a coroner’s office so she can eat human brains…you know, without actually killing anyone.  Every brain she eats gives her memories of the dead person which helps her understand how the victim died.  Using this knowledge, she poses as a psychic and works with the coroner and detectives to solve murders.

My thoughts…iZombie is a DC Comic Book series.  There are no previews for this, but reading about it and watching the clips from Comic-Con, it actually doesn’t look like it will be as bad as it sounds.  It looks to be a dramedy (a drama/comedy.)  Also, as a plus…the cast is incredibly nice to look at!

Jane the Virgin (The CW) – This is the story of Jane Villanueva, a hard-working, religious young Latina woman who vowed to save her virginity until marriage, (at her grandmother’s request) is accidentally artificially inseminated by her Doctor during a checkup. To make matters worse, the biological donor is a married man, a former playboy and cancer survivor who is not only the new owner of the hotel where Jane works, but was also her former teenage crush.

My thoughts…..This sounds ridiculously AWFUL.  I mean seriously!  The girl goes to get her yearly hoo-ha examination and gets “ACCIDENTALLY” inseminated by her Vajay-jay Doctor?!?!?  Sounds stupid….so imagine my surprise that I LOVED the premier?  They took this stupid premise and made it work.  It is going to be on Monday nights against shows like Sleepy Hollow and The Voice so I have a feeling this show won’t become a hit.
